WE ARE MEMBERS OF ONE BODY
We are members of one body in Christ according to Ephesians 4:4 "There is one body, and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling". Everyone who is born again by faith in Christ Jesus is a member of the body of Christ. One of the most profound understandings of the Body of Christ you could ever have, is the fact that it is one and not many; though there are many members, different numerous denominations but one body. Our opening scripture tells us that the Body of Christ is one. Though mere reading this, you may ask about the many denominations and arms of the faith that exist. The denominations not withstanding, the church. They are all called by one Lord, one faith one Baptist, and to work on one purpose for one God.
It is crucial you start seeing yourself as one with your brothers and sisters in the faith. Shun division and discord among you. Seeing it this way is according to God's word. Brethren, we all are members of the same body, though we are different in functions and callings yet we are one in purpose (Ephesians 4:3). We must function with this mindedness to fulfill God's corporate will, for the entire body of Christ (1st Cor 1:10). The word of God tells us in Ephesian 4:16 "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which ever joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body into the edifying of itself in love". This means every individual of the church is a member in particular and each of us is important to the eventual growth and development of the Body of Christ as we contribute our own different quotas.
Beloved, you are important to the church and there something God had given you that is meant for the corperate development of the church at large. Let's together build the Christendom, we need you for the strong vgrowth and development of the church. My dear reader, don't stay aloof as though you are not needed, let's together bring this to reality. We are members of the same body. Let brotherly love continue (Hebrew 13:1).
